The Shouguang Happy Coast Tourist Area is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

The Happy Coast Tourist Area is located at Happy Sea in Weifang Binhai Economic and Technological Development Zone. It integrates resources such as an artificial beach, the Malaysia Pavilion, and a kitesurfing base. The coastal artificial beach stretches 1,600 meters and was constructed using a high-water hidden dike method to lay 380,000 cubic meters of high-quality sea sand. It complements the seawater beautifully and is part of the development of the golden shoreline. It is also Weifang’s first artificial beach. Every summer, it attracts numerous visitors from Weifang, Zibo, Binzhou, and Jinan who come to enjoy the sea, making it the closest beach to inland cities in the province such as Jinan.

Highlight Attractions: The Malaysia Pavilion is a reconstruction of the Malaysia National Pavilion from the Shanghai World Expo. The pavilion has two stories and features two elegantly arched, upward-sloping roofs with dynamic lines. The sightseeing elevator is designed in the shape of Kuala Lumpur’s iconic “Petronas Twin Towers.” The roof is supported by colonnades, showcasing elements of traditional Malaysian longhouse architecture.
