In April 2011, the former residence of Zhang Yushan was designated as a county-level cultural relics protection unit.

Zhang Yushan (1898–1927), courtesy name Zhenru, was from Zhangjiazhuang Village, Shouguang County. He was the founder of the Communist Party organization in Shouguang County. He joined the Chinese Communist Party in August 1924 and in September was appointed secretary of the Shouguang Socialist Youth League branch. In 1925, he became secretary of the Shouguang County Party Committee of the CCP. In April 1926, he led the establishment of the Shouguang County Peasants' Association, and in the same year served as secretary of the Shouguang County Committee of the CCP.
