Apricot Hill Karst Cave
Apricot Hill Karst Cave is located in Xingshan Village, Taoxu Town, about 10 kilometers south of Mengyin County. The cave was discovered on January 6, 1994, by villagers of Xingshan while quarrying stone to build houses. The cave entrance was blasted open from the middle of the karst cave, with both ends extending deep into the unknown and awaiting further development. Currently, over 360 meters have been developed, and it was officially opened to tourists on December 17, 1994.
Naturally sculpted, Apricot Hill Karst Cave boasts a spectacular array of stalactites in diverse and striking forms. The abundance and beauty of its "gem flowers" are rare among other karst caves, giving it high ornamental and tourism value. The cave features a complex network of interconnected chambers, with lakes inside some caves and islands within those lakes. Bizarre rocks and layered wonders abound. Formations such as the "Reclining Ox" are remarkably lifelike, while scenes like the "Dragon Palace" transport visitors to a fairy-tale world or a paradise beyond the mortal realm.
Currently, Apricot Hill Karst Cave has excellent facilities to accommodate visitors. It also forms a tourism circle with the Mengshan National Forest Park, just 5 kilometers away, Yunmeng Lake 20 kilometers away, and Mount Menglianggu, attracting up to several thousand visitors per day at peak times.
