Daijue Landform
Daijue Landform is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.
Daijue Landform is China’s fifth-largest unique karst landform, located in Daijue Town, Mengyin County, at the junction of Linyi, Laiwu, and Zibo cities. The Yimeng Mountain area is known for its 72 “Guzis,” and Daijue alone accounts for 30. The area features densely packed, uniquely shaped peaks that rise majestically in various stunning forms—both visually and symbolically. This landform is relatively rare in China and unique and singular in the world. As a result, this type of landform has been named “Daijue Landform.” Daijue Town has also been hailed by many experts and scholars as the “Hometown of Guzis in China,” and was rated by the Shandong Provincial Tourism Bureau and Dazhong Daily as one of the top ten towns in the province with the greatest tourism development potential.
The Daijue Landform region is surrounded by blooming flowers on the mountains and streams flowing through valleys, creating a dynamic landscape rich in history and culture. The area is scattered with historic sites, preserving abundant legacies of Han and Tang cultures, revolutionary red culture, and mountain stronghold culture. From Emperor Liu Xiu’s eastern expeditions marked by sites such as Dongzhi, Duchenghuang, Bandaojing, and Liyangan, to the Temple of Lady Lü commemorating Emperor Li Shimin’s deep affections; from the classic tale of Guo Ju burying his son to show filial piety (the first of the Twenty-Four Filial Exemplars), to the first shot of the armed revolution in the Yimeng Mountains fired at Longxu Fort; from the two “North–South Daijue” defensive battles to the fervent “Third Front” construction movement—all have left profound imprints on this land.
The unique Guzi landform, superior geographical advantages, and profound cultural heritage together form a distinctive new tourism route in the land of Guzis. Daijue in spring bursts with floral splendor, in summer boasts lush green mountains and clear waters, in autumn fills the air with the fragrance of fruits, and in winter is draped in silvery white. It is an ideal destination for sightseeing, leisure vacations, adventure and fitness, and scientific research. No matter when you visit Daijue, you will be enchanted and reluctant to leave.
In Chajuyu Village, Daijue Town, there stands a “General Pine,” known as the “Most Beautiful Pine in North China,” over 1,500 years old. With its sturdy trunk, it bears witness to the ancient history of this magical land and looks forward to its glorious future.
