Taohuayuan Village is located 2 kilometers west of the Mengshan Yunmeng Scenic Area Management Committee. The village covers a total land area of 7,375 mu, including 781 mu of arable land. It has developed 1,500 mu of peach orchards, 2,000 mu of chestnut trees, 200 mu of apple trees, 50 mu of grapevines, and 100 mu of assorted fruit trees. Relying on the Taohua Lake water area, which belongs to the Yi River basin, the lake controls a catchment area of 2.55 square kilometers and has a total storage capacity of 570,000 cubic meters. Taohuayuan Village boasts abundant natural tourism resources. In spring, peach blossoms blanket the mountains; in summer, lush greenery provides cool shade; in autumn, a rich harvest fills the air with fragrance; in winter, a serene snowscape offers breathtaking views — a true idyllic rural paradise. The Taohuayuan Peach Cooperative has leveraged the village’s unique natural ecological environment to uncover a series of natural attractions such as the Immortal’s Touch, Millennium Wisteria, Stone Forest, Goddess Mill, and Penguin Viewing Mengshan. Meanwhile, investment in tourism infrastructure has been increased. In 2008, 5,000 meters of mountain-looping roads were paved; in 2009, the Taohua Lake dam was maintained and upgraded, and a new 16,000-square-meter Taohuayuan Square was built. The Peasant New Village in Beishan completed the construction of 16 villa buildings. The project aims to create an “earthly paradise” in the Yimeng Mountain region, developing a new rural model integrating modern agriculture, tourism services, cooperative organizations, and village renovation. The main planning is divided into northern and southern zones. The southern zone centers around Taohua Lake, using the mountain-looping road as the scenic axis, and includes over ten attractions such as the Peach Culture Museum, Square, Tao Yuanming Garden, Hundred Fruit Garden, and Picking Garden, highlighting modern agrarian culture and peach culture dissemination to create a livable and tourist-friendly national center for peach culture. The northern zone focuses on new rural residences and agritainment services. Plans also include the gradual construction of features such as the “Earthly Paradise” Archway, Peach Culture Corridor, Peach Blossom Poetry Stele Forest, Folk Custom Garden, Peach Longevity Buddha Statue, and Picking Garden, striving to establish a hub of Chinese peach culture. In the near future, a true earthly paradise will unfold before your eyes.
