The Gudao Gully Scenic Area is located 6 kilometers northeast of the Gaodu Town government seat and is the town’s most important fruit-producing region. With its beautiful environment, Gudao Gully is a paradise-like destination, renowned as the “Little Guilin of the North” and the “Magical Mountain of Flowers and Fruits.” Here, the mountains are lush and the waters are clear, offering a tranquil and delightful atmosphere. In spring, the hillsides bloom with vibrant wildflowers, filling the air with fragrance; in summer the forest is covered in lush green shade, fresh and dripping with vitality; in autumn the fruits hang abundantly, intoxicating with their sweet aroma; in winter the landscape is adorned with sparkling ice and snow, presenting boundless scenery. There are also many beautiful legends here: the Couple Trees and the Wife-Watching Spring tell a poignant and moving story, the Spring-Renewing Tree showcases the magic of life reviving in barren wood, while the Pavilion Ridge and Five-Family Fort bear the marks of historical vicissitudes.

To accelerate the development of mountain village and fruit-themed tourism and build the “Little Guilin of the North” ecological tourism area, the town and village invested in reinforcing the Shangwen Village Reservoir to eliminate safety risks, paved 5 kilometers of mountain-looping roads, and developed three fruit-picking gardens: the Scenic Garden, the Cultural Garden, and the Soul-Nourishing Garden. Visiting this place for leisure and recreation allows you to admire the blooming mountain flowers in spring to nurture your spirit, experience the joy of fruit orchard management in summer, and harvest and taste fresh wild fruits in autumn, offering you a spiritual enjoyment of immersing yourself in nature and returning to simplicity. The ancient cultural sites of the Five-Family Fort and the Jade Emperor Temple, which are currently being restored and expanded, further allow you to sense the great changes of nature and the true meaning of life.
