Site of Iron City

The Site of Iron City is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Site of Iron City is located in Tiecheng Village, Mengyin Subdistrict, Mengyin County. It dates back to the Han Dynasty. In 2013, the site was designated as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Mengyin Subdistrict: Mengyin Town in Mengyin County is situated at the county seat, governing 109 administrative villages and residential areas, covering a total area of 257.9 square kilometers, including 88,000 mu of arable land. The subdistrict has a total population of 151,000, including 87,000 agricultural residents. In 2001, the total industrial and agricultural output value reached 1.87 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5% year-on-year; township enterprises achieved an output value of 1.69 billion yuan, up 14%; fiscal revenue totaled 29.948 million yuan, a rise of 48.1%; and the per capita net income of farmers reached 2,511 yuan, an increase of 142 yuan compared to the previous year...
