Zibo Zhenyi Pavilion

Zibo Zhenyi Pavilion is a cultural tourism attraction.

Located in Xipu Village, Wangcun Town, Zhoucun District, it is one of the main structures of the former residence of Bi Ziyi, Minister of Revenue in the late Ming Dynasty. Pu Songling once taught here for several decades. The pavilion is a two-story tower-style building, 8 meters high, with a width of three bays (10.4 meters) and a depth of one bay (6.7 meters). It features a flush gable roof, single-eave clay tile roofing, stone foundation, brick walls, and wooden frame structure. The eaves are adorned with bracket sets, and both the ridge and eaves are decorated with patterns. The original door bore a plaque inscribed with “Zhenyi Pavilion,” along with the characters “Chongzhen Year of the Boar, Lotus Month, First Ten Days” and “Written by Lianpo.” The pillars originally held a couplet: the upper line read “Ten thousand volumes of books bring the wealth of a southern exposure,” and the lower line “A curtain of wind brings coolness to the northern window,” authored by Xu Risheng.
