Zhoucun Ancient Street

Zhoucun Ancient Street is located in Zhoucun, known as China’s living ancient commercial city, within Zhoucun District—one of the districts of Zibo City, Shandong Province. Situated in central Shandong, it lies 300 kilometers from the port city of Qingdao and 100 kilometers from Jinan, the provincial capital of Shandong. The Zhoucun Ancient Commercial City is situated in the central part of Zhoucun urban area, covering an area of 17 hectares. It is composed of ancient commercial blocks such as Zhoucun Street, Sishi Street, Yinzi Street, and Chou Market Street. It is now a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit, a provincial-level outstanding historical building, and a key provincial tourism development project. To the south of the ancient commercial city lies the former headquarters of the Shandong Anti-Yuan Protection Army and the Kuixing Pavilion Temple, while to the north are the Mingjiao Temple, Thousand Buddha Pavilion, and Huilong Bridge. It serves as a convergence point of Zhoucun’s natural scenery and cultural heritage.
