The Geng Family Courtyard is a cultural heritage site protected by Shandong Province.

The Geng Family Courtyard is located in Xincheng Town, Huantai County, dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties.

On June 23, 2015, the Geng Family Courtyard was designated as part of the fifth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Protection Units by the Shandong Provincial People's Government.

Xincheng Town: Located in the southwest of Huantai County, Xincheng Town covers an area of 44.55 square kilometers, governs 40 administrative villages, and has a population of 36,000. It is traversed by the Binbo Expressway, as well as the provincial highways Gaosui Road and Shouji Road, offering convenient transportation and a strategic location.

As the former site of the ancient county seat of Huantai County, Xincheng Town has a history of 722 years as a county administrative center. It is also the hometown of Wang Shizhen (also known as Wang Yuyang), a leading figure in the Qing Dynasty poetry scene. The town has a rich cultural heritage, with 30 recorded successful imperial examination candidates at the Jinshi level and 43 at the Juren level, as well as numerous cultural relics and historic sites.
