People's Park of Yucheng

People's Park of Yucheng is located at the junction of Yucheng’s old and new urban areas. To the east, the park faces Tongqu Road, a major north-south thoroughfare that runs through the old city; to the south, it borders Cultural Street and the Luobei Riverside Green Corridor. The Anju Residential Community stands directly opposite the park’s main southern entrance. The area around the park enjoys open terrain and an elegant environment, giving it a uniquely advantageous location. Covering a total area of 17 hectares, the park has 55% water surface and is primarily designed as a natural scenic garden focused on water-based sightseeing, complemented by appropriately developed cultural and recreational activities. In line with the principles of distant views, close appreciation, clear focal points, and accessibility both on land and water, the park features 24 carefully planned scenic spots that highlight local characteristics and contemporary flair. The main gate is designed in the style of an ancient memorial archway, with the four characters “People's Park” inscribed by Wang Yuxi, then Governor of Shandong Province. The park is home to more than 28,000 various trees and plants, complemented by a large serpentine lake, creating a picturesque landscape. It also includes a children’s playground and has restored the historic site of the “One Step, Two Wells,” making it an ideal destination for leisure and recreation.
