Yu Cheng Revolutionary Memorial Hall

Yu Cheng Revolutionary Memorial Hall is a classic red tourism attraction.

Revolutionary Memorial Hall: Located on the east side of Yu Cheng No. 1 Middle School, it was completed and put into use in September 2009, with a total investment of 15 million yuan, a construction area of 2,200 square meters, and a water surface area of 30 mu.

The main central structure is a large exhibition hall, with auxiliary facilities in the side wings. The exhibition hall is divided into four sections: the first section is the photo and text area, displaying images and textual descriptions related to the Party’s development and leadership in the struggle against enemies during various historical periods—including the First and Second Revolutionary Civil Wars, the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Liberation War, and the period of socialist construction—within Yu Cheng. It also features photos of revolutionary sites, lists of revolutionary martyrs, as well as photos and biographies of martyrs and heroic figures. The second section is the revolutionary relics area, showcasing collected revolutionary artifacts from the First Revolutionary Civil War to the socialist construction period. These include meeting records, notices, letters, travel passes, vouchers, weapons, appointment letters, commendation orders, certificates, newspapers, periodicals, as well as items used during wartime, captured enemy spoils, torture instruments and objects used by reactionaries against revolutionaries and civilians, along with related textual materials. The third section is the sculpture area, primarily featuring group sculptures that three-dimensionally recreate major revolutionary historical events, such as the statue of martyr Wang Kekou, the statue of the ambush of Japanese invaders on the Tianjin–Pukou Railway, and the statue of the liberation of Yu Cheng. The fourth section is the scenic-style exhibition, which uses modern technologies such as sound, light, and electricity to recreate major events from different historical periods, such as the burning of Zhao Village, the massacre of Xueguantun, the Niujiaodian Battle (where Martyr Wang Kekou died), and the liberation of Yu Cheng during the War of Resistance Against Japan.
