Huanghua Martyrs' Cemetery is a classic red tourism destination and a national defense education base.

Huanghua Martyrs' Cemetery is situated on Bohai Road in Huanghua City. The city was originally called Xinqing County, a key part of the anti-Japanese base in the Bohai region. During the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War, more than 50 major and minor battles were fought here. In August 1945, to honor Huang Hua, the commander of the Jizhong Military District of the Eighth Route Army who died in Xinqing County, the county was renamed Huanghua County. To commemorate famous martyrs such as Huang Hua, Zhao Boseng, and Liu Guanyi, the cemetery was first built in 1958 and relocated to its current site in 2000. Covering an area of 12,000 square meters, it features a Martyrs' Monument, memorial halls for Huang Hua and Zhao Boseng, as well as a martyrs’ cemetery area, where 132 martyrs are laid to rest. The cemetery has collected historical materials on over 60 revolutionary martyrs and has compiled and published books such as *Iron-Willed Heroes Series – The Life of Martyr Liu Guanyi* and *General Huang Hua*. It also produced the film *Ying-Hua*. The site is a provincial-level martyrs' memorial facility protection unit in Hebei Province and also serves as a national defense education base in the province.
