The Juguang Ancient Tribute Date Garden is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Huanghua is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Winter Dates." Huanghua winter dates have a history of nearly 3,000 years and were the first fruit in China to receive "Protected Designation of Origin" status. They are hailed as the "best among over 260 fresh date varieties in the nation," the "finest of all dates," and the "king of fruits." The Juguang Ancient Tribute Date Garden in Huanghua, as a "National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit," is the only plant-based site among the country’s key cultural relics protections. It is also one of the province’s first tourism demonstration sites. The garden contains 198 trees over 600 years old, and the oldest among them, the "Ancestral Tree," is more than 740 years old, earning it the title of the "living fossil" of Chinese winter dates. Today, Huanghua’s winter date production base has expanded to 300,000 mu, giving rise to a distinctive, prosperity-boosting industry worth hundreds of millions of yuan.

Qijiawu Township: Located at the northernmost tip of Huanghua City, Qijiawu borders the Tianjin Binhai New Area to the north, faces the Bohai Sea to the east, and connects to Qing and Cang counties to the west. The Ziya New River and Beipai River run east-west across the township, while National Highway 205 and the Jinzhan Expressway stretch from north to south. Covering a total area of 160 square kilometers, the township governs 37 administrative villages with a population of 42,000 and 130,000 mu of arable land. It is one of Cangzhou City’s top 40 townships and is also the world-renowned birthplace of winter dates.
