Pingyin -, also known as the Rose Research Institute Experimental Garden, is located south of Taocun Village, 11 kilometers southwest of Pingyin County. It is the only specialized rose research institution in China. The garden is dedicated to the cultivation, breeding, pest control, and research and promotion of processing techniques for a series of rose-related products. Covering an area of over 100 mu, or 4.67 hectares, it houses the most advanced rose laboratory in China, with over 50 varieties of roses, making it the most comprehensive rose variety garden in the country. Among them, the Bulgarian Damask rose, red and white roses, French Grasse roses, and Russian perfume roses are the most famous.

Established in 1959, the garden covers an area of 100 mu. It is home to over 60 varieties of roses from both China and abroad, and hosts the only national-level specialized rose research institution. Pingyin roses are the representative of traditional Chinese roses, renowned for their long cultivation history, large and thick petals with vibrant colors, strong fragrance, high oil yield, and superior quality. Pingyin roses are not only appreciated for their ornamental value, offering a delightful visual experience, but also hold high edible and medicinal value for health and beauty. The essential oil extracted from fresh rose buds is as valuable as gold, earning the reputation of "liquid gold." Every May, roses bloom in vibrant spring colors, exuding the fragrance of love. Whether strolling through the flower fields or walking casually among the blossoms, the roses will leave a lingering, elegant scent on your sleeves.
