The City Exhibition Hall covers a construction area of 3,700 square meters, featuring an overall frame structure. Its exterior is solemn and elegant, with a modern and fashionable architectural style. The design of the hall is inspired by the ancient Chinese philosophical concept of "the round sky and square earth," resulting in a form that is "hollow outside and solid inside, round outside and square inside." It embodies a coexistence of ruggedness and refinement, as well as a blend of classical and modern elements, symbolizing the rapid development of the ancient county of Shanghe under its new positioning as a "Hot Spring Eco-City, Leisure and Fitness Capital, and Hometown of Guzi Yangge." The exhibition's theme revolves around the historical evolution, glorious achievements, and grand blueprint of Shanghe’s urban development. The entire hall integrates modern urban planning, physical displays of cultural heritage, cultural information resource sharing, library reading, and artistic creation. It serves five major functions: construction display, planning inquiry, exchange and research, publicity and education, as well as leisure and sightseeing. The hall is divided into three levels: the first floor is the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall; the second floor is the Multimedia Presentation Hall; and the third floor is the Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall. The Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall features an elegant and classic style, dignified and generous in design. Its collection includes cultural relics dating from the Shang and Zhou dynasties to the Ming and Qing dynasties, showcasing all historical relics and sites of Shanghe through the ages. Intangible cultural heritage such as Guzi Yangge is also presented in vivid and lifelike forms.

As a landmark public cultural facility of the county, the Shanghe City Exhibition Hall presents a comprehensive, multi-dimensional, and multi-perspective showcase of Shanghe’s past, present, and future. It serves as a microcosm and historical testament to Shanghe’s culture, history, and urban development, as well as an important window for people to understand and learn about Shanghe.
