Taizili Site

The Taizili Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

Taizili Site: Located 200 meters northwest of Taizili Village, Jiazhuang Town, Shanghe County, approximately 20 kilometers from the county seat. To the north lies the ancient Maimiqui City ruins. The site rises 4.5 meters above the ground, has a roughly square-round shape, and covers an area of 60×60 square meters. The top of the high platform is now overgrown with trees and weeds, and wild animals are occasionally seen. The exposed cross-section contains large quantities of rope-patterned cylindrical tiles and broken bricks engraved with geometric patterns. The site boasts rich cultural content and is relatively well-preserved. After multiple expert investigations, it has been confirmed to be a Qin-Han period site connected in lineage with the ancient Maimiqui City ruins, holding significant historical research and preservation value. In 1996, it was designated and announced as a county-level key cultural heritage protection unit.

In 2013, the Taizili Site was announced by the People's Government of Shandong Province as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Shandong.
