Tomb of the Geng Family

Tomb of the Geng Family is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

Tomb of the Geng Family, the site is located 500 meters northwest of Gengjia Village in Huairen Town, about 20 kilometers from Shanghe County. It is cone-shaped, covering an area of 60×60 square meters, with a height of 5 meters. The top of the mound is covered with pine, cypress, assorted trees, and wild weeds, where wildlife can occasionally be spotted. Local legend says it is the tomb of a king, but due to the lack of detailed historical records, the identity of the tomb’s occupant remains unknown. Expert research has identified it as an ancient tomb from the Han Dynasty, believing it holds significant conservation and historical research value. In 1996, it was designated and announced as a county-level key cultural relic protection unit. In 2013, Tomb of the Geng Family was listed by the People's Government of Shandong Province as part of the fourth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units in Shandong.
