Jizhou Lakeside Park

The Lakeside Park is located on the southern shore of Hengshui Lake, with a planned area of 2 million square meters, including 1.2 million square meters of land and 800,000 square meters of green space. Both the overall planning and detailed design were completed by Beijing China Construction Design International Co., Ltd., highlighting the concept of “Ancient Charm of Jizhou, New Scenery by the Lake.” The park is divided into three themed zones—“Years Like a Song,” “Joy for All,” and “Unity of Sky and Water”—based on ecological, cultural, and market-oriented philosophies.

The “Years Like a Song” zone is located in the western part of the park and echoes the nearby Bamboo Forest Temple. It features a variety of squares such as the Jiuzhou Culture Square, Jibaozhai Museum, as well as the Shidaoan Square, Liuzhuo Square, Sunjing Square, and the “Flowing Golden Years” sculpture corridor. Strolling through the area feels like unfolding a series of paintings, with each sculpture and square telling the history of Jizhou.

The “Joy for All” zone is situated to the east of the Jiuzhou Culture Square and includes leisure venues and facilities such as the Lakeside Eco Club, Civic Fitness Square, and Hope Square, meeting the recreational needs of different groups and fully embodying the philosophy that “the joy of one is not as good as the joy of all.”

The “Unity of Sky and Water” zone is adjacent to National Highway 106 and forms a narrow strip where visitors can gaze at the new Jizhou city by the lakeside and admire the ancient town of Jizhou under the setting sun. With vast waters blending seamlessly into the sky, lush grass, and singing birds, the area presents a harmonious picture of humans coexisting with nature. Facilities in this zone include a bird-watching platform, waterside plaza, sandy beach bathing area, and Bishui Bay Harbor, allowing tourists to fully enjoy the pleasure brought by water.

The entire scenic area adopts micro-terrain landscaping, with natural-style afforestation ensuring that the plants complement Hengshui Lake, creating an open and layered view that gives visitors the sensation of traveling within a painting.
