Hebei Baozhai Museum: Planning for the museum began in the early 1980s, with construction of the main building starting in 2008. The entire project was completed by the end of 2009, and the museum officially opened to the public in July 2010. The Hebei Baozhai Museum, invested in by Erpu Village, Jizhou Town, Jizhou City, with 60 million yuan, covers an area of 60 acres and has a construction area of 14,000 square meters. It is collectively owned by Erpu Village, a group member of the China Cultural Relics Society, a member of the Chinese Museums Association, an experimental education base for the Young Pioneers of Hebei Province, a patriotic education base in Hengshui City, and a national AAA-level tourist attraction. The museum houses over 40,000 collections, with 2,200 on display, primarily featuring official kiln porcelain from various dynasties, as well as calligraphy and paintings from ancient and modern times, tri-color glazed pottery of the Tang Dynasty, bronze ware, jade artifacts, and gold and silver items. The collections span from ancient times to the Ming and Qing dynasties, including numerous high-grade cultural relics, some of which have been hailed by experts as “national treasure” level artifacts. It serves as an important physical venue showcasing the glorious history of China’s traditional culture and ancient civilization. The museum has 12 exhibition halls, including 8 for porcelain, 2 for calligraphy and paintings, 1 for tri-color glazed pottery and jade artifacts, and 1 for bronze and gold and silver items. There is also a multifunctional hall covering 329 square meters with 218 seats, suitable for hosting medium-sized academic lectures and conferences. These precious historical relics bear witness to the long-standing 5,000-year-old culture of the Chinese nation, narrate the remarkable history of the Chinese people, and provide an excellent site for patriotic education.
