Pastoral Cotton Cultural Park

The Pastoral Cotton Cultural Park is located in Jingjiazhuang, Jizhou City (at the 323.6 km mark of National Highway 106), covering an area of 13,000 square meters. The buildings feature classical Chinese architecture with blue bricks, gray tiles, red lanterns hanging high, and upturned eaves and walls that create a picturesque scene. Surrounded by fresh air, green fields, and blue skies, visitors can fully enjoy the idyllic rural landscape, which is both refreshing and uplifting.

The park is divided into a Folk Culture Exhibition Hall and a Pastoral Cotton Handwoven Coarse Cloth Sightseeing Workshop. The Folk Culture Exhibition Hall spans 1,200 square meters and includes nine sections: the Textile History Museum, Farming Culture Exhibition Hall, Folk Utensils Exhibition Hall, Home Culture Gallery, Folk Photography Exhibition Hall, Tourist Souvenir Sales Area, Tea Art House, Handwoven Coarse Cloth Boutique Exhibition Hall, and Embroidery Workshop. It encapsulates traditional aspects of clothing, food, housing, and transportation within the Pastoral Cotton Cultural Park, immersing visitors in an environment that reconnects them with nature and the charm of rural life. The Pastoral Cotton Handwoven Coarse Cloth Sightseeing Workshop includes sections for warping, weaving, sewing and finishing, as well as storage, with a total built-up area of 2,500 square meters. These three workshops are connected by a continuous sightseeing corridor located 3 meters above the ground on top of the storage area. Visitors enter through one gate and can look down on the entire production process of handwoven coarse cotton cloth, gaining a clear understanding of the traditional craftsmanship behind this Chinese textile.

Currently, the park has established a folk photography base where visitors can dress in costumes from different eras to experience the customs and lifestyles of those times. In the evening, guests can gather around bonfires to dance, barbecue, and discuss folk culture, reviving the charm of rural life. While appreciating folk art and learning about traditional weaving techniques, visitors can also gain a deeper appreciation for the endless charm and joy of folk art.
