The Tai'an Pumped Storage Power Station Scenic Area is located on the southwestern foothills of Mount Tai in the western suburbs of Tai'an City, bordered by Mount Tai to the north and Tianping Lake Park to the south. It enjoys an exceptionally advantageous transportation location and surrounding environment.

The Tai'an Pumped Storage Power Station is under the jurisdiction of State Grid Xinyuan Holdings Co., Ltd. It is the fourth large-scale pumped storage power station in China and the first large-scale hydropower station in Shandong Province.

Within the Tai'an Pumped Storage Power Station Scenic Area, the forest coverage rate exceeds 80%. It features the "Heavenly Lake" landscape of a "high gorge with a flat lake," cave clusters and underground powerhouses extending into the mountain, along with high-speed elevators. The caves are equipped with light boxes, models, sand tables, and sci-fi demonstrations using sound, light, and electricity. Six large and several small tourist attractions have been developed, and three tour routes have been planned. The site integrates science education, sightseeing, leisure, and vacation tourism functions, making it a rare and uniquely distinctive tourism resource.

Transportation Guide

Self-Driving Guide:

(1) From the west: Take G3 Beijing–Taipei Expressway — exit at Tai'an West — head east along the western section of Dongyue Street — drive approximately 9 kilometers across Daihu Bridge to Dahe Bridge.

(2) From the east: Take G22 Qingdao–Lanzhou Expressway — exit at Tai'an — pass through Xiao Jing and drive 15 kilometers west along Dongyue Street to Dahe Bridge.
