The Monument to the Xiazhang Anti-Japanese Armed Uprising is located in Xiazhang Town, Daiyue District, Tai’an City, and was built in 1998.

On June 23, 2015, the Monument to the Xiazhang Anti-Japanese Armed Uprising was designated by the People’s Government of Shandong Province as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Shandong Province.

Xiazhang Town: Located in the central region of Shandong, Xiazhang Town borders Mount Tai—a UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage site, a historic mountain, and one of China’s Five Great Mountains—on the north. The town covers an area of 122 square kilometers, with geographical coordinates at 116°57′42″ east longitude and 36°07′06″ north latitude. It governs 71 administrative villages and one neighborhood committee, with a population of 63,000. In 2003, the town achieved a total industrial and agricultural output value of 1.2 billion yuan, local fiscal revenue of 6.12 million yuan, and an average per capita rural income of 3,670 yuan.
