The Han Tombs of Dachangzhuang are a cultural heritage site protected at the Hebei Provincial level.

Han Tombs of Dachangzhuang. Located 500 meters north of Dachangjiazhuang Village in present-day Jizhou Town and within the Chang’an West area of the urban district, the earthen mound stands 8 meters high and covers an area of 3,000 square meters. In recent years, a pavilion has been built on top of the tomb.

Originally, there were two tombs here—one large and one small—the smaller of which was leveled in 1958.

There are three local legends about this tomb: the “Grain Storage Mound,” the tomb of Zhang Er, and the “Nine Maidens’ Tomb.” In February 2001, it was designated as a Hebei Provincial Cultural Heritage Protection Unit.

Jizhou Town: Surrounding the urban area of Jizhou District, Jizhou Town is the seat of the Jizhou District government and is adjacent to the beautiful Hengshui Lake. It governs 77 administrative villages, has a population of 50,000, and cultivates 70,000 mu of farmland. In 2017, the town achieved fiscal revenue of 335 million yuan, marking a year-on-year increase of 21.6%. It has successively been awarded honorary titles such as “National Top 1,000 Comprehensive Strength Towns,” “National Beautiful Environment Town,” and “Hebei Advanced Grassroots Party Organization.”
