Xianhe Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area

Xianhe Lake Water Conservancy Scenic Area was built on the foundation of the Penglou Yellow River Diversion and Sedimentation Pool. It is named Xianhe Lake because this area was historically a royal crane-breeding site for the rulers of the State of Wei during the Spring and Autumn Period. Covering an area of 4,000 acres, wetlands make up 80% of the total area, with vegetation mainly consisting of reeds and cattails. Dozens of species of wild waterfowl and migratory birds inhabit and breed here.
