The Former Site of the CPC Hebei South District Committee is a classic red tourism destination and a patriotic education base.

The Former Site of the CPC Hebei South District Committee is located in Yangzhuang Village, Dawangzhai Town, Shenxian County, Shandong Province. Song Renqiong was a founding general of the People’s Republic of China, who once served as Secretary of the Secretariat and Minister of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Deputy Director of the Central Advisory Commission. He was an important national and Party leader from northwestern Shandong. The restoration project of the former residence of Song Renqiong and the site of the CPC Hebei South District Committee covers nearly 20 acres, and includes the main exhibition hall showcasing Song Renqiong’s major accomplishments in Yangzhuang, his former residence, and exhibition rooms for the CPC Hebei South District Committee and the headquarters of the Hebei South Military District. There are also exhibition rooms dedicated to the Hebei South Conference, the Hebei South Military District arms factory and field hospital, the Hebei South Bank, and the Luxi Bank. In addition, there are wartime tunnels and a martyrs' cemetery complex. In 2011, the former residence of Song Renqiong and the site of the CPC Hebei South District Committee were designated as the “LuXi Party Spirit Education Base,” “Liaocheng Municipal Party History Education Base,” “Shenxian County Party History Education Demonstration Base,” and “Shenxian County Patriotic Thought Education Base.”
