Yushan Town of Dong'e County is located 14.5 kilometers south of the county seat, bordering the Yellow River. It faces Dongping County and Pingyin County across the river, and neighbors Tongcheng Subdistrict Office, Liujizhen, and Jianglouzhen. It is traversed by the Tong (cheng) Yu (shan) Road and Dan (zhuang) Wang (ying) Road from north to south and east to west, offering convenient transportation and a superior geographical location. The Yushan Mountain within the jurisdiction has an elevation of 82.1 meters. Yushan is the birthplace of the Cao Zhi culture in Dong'e and China's intangible cultural heritage "Yushan Bai (Buddhist Chanting)." The national key cultural relics protection unit—Cao Zhi’s Tomb—is situated at the western foot of Yushan. The Yushan Scenic Area centers around Yushan Mountain, where cultural, natural, and agricultural landscapes complement each other. It also features attractions such as the Sui Dynasty Tablet Pavilion, Zijian Shrine, Stele Forest, Fan Yin Cave, and Fanbei Temple, rich in cultural heritage. The town stretches 12.5 kilometers along the Yellow River, making it a typical riverside settlement. Leveraging its location at the core of the national-level Yellow River Forest Park, it has been developed into a composite scenic area integrating the Yushan Scenic Area, an ecological demonstration zone, and an organic vegetable planting base. In September 2006, the China Yushan Fanbei Cultural Festival was held here. By the end of 2012, it was recognized as a Strong Tourism Town by the provincial tourism bureau. Currently, the town is actively building itself into a distinctive Yellow River tourism town in the province. In May 2012, the Dong'e Yushan Yellow River Culture and Art Festival was successfully held during the Labor Day holiday.

The town administers six management areas and 54 administrative villages. The logistics industry in the town center is thriving, the “three vertical and three horizontal” urban framework has further expanded, and lighting and beautification projects have been implemented. The Danwang Road commercial street is beginning to take shape, improving the living environment. Key industries include greenhouse melons and vegetables, forestry, and tourism, fostering a large number of distinctive specialized villages. Some featured agricultural projects have shown remarkable benefits. The total GDP of the town reached 1.047 billion yuan, with a per capita GDP of 35,000 yuan. Among these, industrial enterprise output value was 630 million yuan, and the proportion of secondary and tertiary industries reached 75%.
