The Qianzhao Site in Dong'e is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Qianzhao Site in Dong'e is located in Qianzhao Village, northeast of Dong'e County. It dates back to the Neolithic Age. On December 7, 2006, the Qianzhao Site in Dong'e was designated as part of the third batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

The Qianzhao Site in Dong'e is located northeast of the chemical plant in Dong'e County and was discovered in December 1996. It is a Longshan-period cultural city site and is currently a provincial-level cultural heritage protection unit.

The city site is boat-shaped in plan, wider in the middle and narrower at both ends, running from northeast to southwest. It measures 449 meters in length, 140 meters in the middle width, 80 meters at the northeast end, and 90 meters at the southwest end, covering a total area of approximately 53,000 square meters. The city wall is 8 meters wide, and there is a moat outside the wall, about 8 meters wide. There are two breaks in the middle of the site, one on the north side and one on the south side, each about 30 meters wide, which are believed to be gate locations. The cultural deposits of the Qianzhao Longshan city site are sloped, higher in the center and lower around the edges, with thicker cultural layers around the periphery. The southern half has a relatively dense distribution of house remains. The Longshan cultural layer reaches a thickness of 1.2 to 2.3 meters and contains abundant artifacts, including pottery shards such as gray pottery basins, jars, and vats, along with evidence of house foundations.

The Qianzhao Longshan cultural city site is one of the more significant prehistoric sites discovered in recent years in northwestern Shandong. It has clear affiliations, thick cultural deposits, rich content, and a unique structural form. It serves as valuable material for studying the emergence and development of ancient Chinese civilization, as well as the social structures of “capital,” “settlement,” and “dwelling.” The site holds great historical and scientific research value.
