Wangxiaoshan Scenic Area

Wangxiaoshan Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

Wangxiaoshan Scenic Area is located in Wangxiaoshan Village, Jinxiang County, Jining City. The village has creatively utilized its existing pit-like terrain by applying Jiangnan garden design principles to transform abandoned ponds. A century-old Chinese honey locust tree nearby has been preserved with signage and protective fencing to showcase its historical significance, creating a harmonious contrast with the surrounding landscape and gardens that highlight the history and culture of Wangxiaoshan Village. Additionally, an original apple orchard spanning over 50 acres has been upgraded to serve as a leisure and picking destination for visitors.

Wang Jie (1942–1965) was from Huagu Village, Chengjiao Township, Jinxiang County (now Wangjie Village, Jinxiang Town). In 1957, when his hometown was hit by flooding, he risked his life to save the horses of the production team. In 1958, he was admitted to Jinxiang No. 1 Middle School and volunteered every Sunday to help the production team’s accountant with bookkeeping. In 1961, he enlisted in the army and served as a soldier in the Engineering Company, 1st Platoon of an Armored Division under the Jinan Military Region of the People’s Liberation Army. On February 21, 1963, he wrote in his diary: “No matter what work I do in the future, I must be absolutely loyal to the Party’s cause and brave in the fight for revolutionary victory...” More details about Wang Jie ++
