Tomb of Guo Dongfan

The Tomb of Guo Dongfan is a cultural relic protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Tomb of Guo Dongfan is located northwest of Guoshankou Village, Hujizhen Town, north of Jinxiang County. In the 36th year of the Jiajing reign during the Ming Dynasty, Guo Dongfan passed the imperial examination and became a Jinshi, eventually holding the post of Vice Commissioner of the Shaanxi Provincial Surveillance Commission. He was buried in his hometown of Guoshankou Village after his death. His tombstone is well-preserved, and stone figures such as horses, sheep, and tigers are placed in front of the cemetery. The main tomb is centrally situated, with the cemetery gate facing south. A stone offering table and an incense stand are placed in front of the tomb. The tombstone stands at the left front, and the sides of the tomb passage are lined with stone statues such as horses and sheep, most of which were damaged during the Cultural Revolution. Several Ming and Qing dynasty tombstones are located on both sides and in front of the main tomb, most of which still have intact offering tables and incense stands.

Guoshankou Village: Located in the northwest part of Hujizhen Town government, Guoshankou Village has a total of 3 villager groups, 190 households, and 710 residents, including 18 Party members and 3 individuals with education above high school level. The village currently has 710 acres of agricultural land, including 678 acres planted with garlic, 12 acres with wheat and corn, and 20 acres of plastic greenhouses. By the end of 2011, the village’s total industrial and agricultural output value reached 5.72 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 8,060 yuan.
