Jishu Ligui Mound Site

The Jishu Ligui Mound Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Shandong Province.

The Ligui Mound Site is located in Jishu Town, Jinxiang County, dating back to the Shang, Zhou, Qin, and Han dynasties.

On June 23, 2015, the Ligui Mound Site was designated as part of the fifth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People's Government of Shandong Province.

Jishu Town: The town is named after an act of hospitality during the Eastern Han Dynasty, when Fan Shi, the governor of Lujiang, killed a chicken and cooked millet to entertain his friend Zhang Shao. It is situated at the junction of Jinxiang, Shanxian, and Chengwu counties, governing 70 administrative villages with a population of 68,000 and 73,000 mu of arable land. National Highway 105 runs north-south through the town, while the Zao-Cao Road stretches east-west. The networks for water conservancy, transportation, power supply, and telecommunications crisscross the area, providing convenient access in all directions.

Agriculture mainly focuses on growing crops such as garlic, cotton, corn, spinach, and watermelon. Around 70,000 mu of garlic are planted annually, intercropped with 60,000 mu of high-quality spinach.
