In Anyuan Village, Xufang Township, Chongren County, there stands an ancient camphor tree that is 1,400 years old. To protect this nationally protected tree species, the village has assigned dedicated personnel to manage and maintain the ancient tree. Due to the excessive length and weight of the branches, the village invested nearly ten thousand yuan to construct four supporting piers made of bricks and cement under the tree’s forks, eliminating the danger of branch breakage.
