The Former Site of the Propaganda Team of the First Front Red Army is a cultural relic protection unit of Chongren County.

Former Site of the Propaganda Team of the First Front Red Army: Located in Yaogang Village, Xiangshan Town, the building faces south with an eastward deviation of 4° and was constructed during the Qing Dynasty. Over 120 slogans from the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army during the Second Revolutionary Civil War were discovered on the plaster layers of bamboo-reinforced mud walls on various parts of the second floor. The slogans include content such as “Oppose the imperialist world war and ! When the headquarters of the First Front Red Army was stationed in Dongshan, the propaganda team often went in plain clothes to surrounding villages and towns to promote the spirit and platform of the Party and the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army, awakening the working masses to participate in uprisings and revolutions. They helped establish peasant associations, women’s rescue associations, children’s corps, developed Communist Party members, mobilized the masses to organize Red Guards, join guerrilla forces, secretly set up post offices, liaise with underground transport stations, assign revolutionary tasks among organized groups, members, and children’s corps, widely spread revolutionary ideas, carry out land redistribution from local tyrants, and guard against surprise attacks from the White Areas. During this time, they also mobilized large numbers of young people to actively enlist in the Red Army.
