The Shanjian Town Reception Center in Chongren County covers a total land area of 25,975㎡, with a total construction area of 8,057.62㎡ and a landscape area of 13,000㎡. The town reception center mainly consists of six components: the Shanjian Town Reception Center Visitor Service Center, E-commerce Training Center, Exhibition Center, Logistics Office Building, Landmark Tower, and Central Square, among others. Each building group forms its own enclosed courtyard space. The development area is divided into six functional zones: tourism reception and visitor distribution, specialty agricultural product display, modern agriculture science education, folk culture exhibition, agricultural product e-commerce demonstration, and comprehensive service center.

Town Reception Center Square

The Town Reception Center Square, as the main activity and leisure landscape area, primarily features a hard-surface finish in a field-like design to provide space for public activities. The entrance square is designed with an inclined stone wall featuring the logo of the Shanjian Town Reception Center, serving as the site’s “business card.” The square also includes a landmark tower, built incorporating local cultural elements from Chongren, with an LED screen at the top that promotes the latest events at the reception center and the historical development of the Chongren Ma Chicken. It serves as a landmark feature of the site.

Inner Courtyard of the Town Reception Center

The inner courtyard of the building serves as a leisure area for visitors. It is predominantly paved with hard materials, complemented by green landscaping and landscape ornaments. The courtyard within the Visitor Service Center features a mirror pool with a central sculpture as the focal point of the scene. At the junction of the corridor connecting the Visitor Service Center and the Exhibition Center, a combination of hard paving and landscaped pathways meets circulation needs, with sculptures depicting the life of Ma chickens placed along both sides. Between the Exhibition Center and the E-commerce Training Center lies a visual focal point where landscaped flower stands form a planted backdrop wall, with engraved stones in the flower beds displaying inscriptions that highlight the town’s characteristics: agriculture, technology, and science education. Between the Exhibition Center and the Logistics Office Building, the building facade features glass curtain walls that offer greater visibility. This area uses perforated walls and a mirror pool, along with landscaped tree pits, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Town Reception Center Exhibition Center

The Shanjian Town Reception Center Exhibition Center includes a Planning Hall and a Science Hall. The Planning Hall is divided into five sections: the Town Blueprint Overview, Accessible Transportation, Light of Agricultural Technology, Outlook on Modern Agriculture, and the Spirit of the Ma Chicken. The Science Hall is divided into the Preface Wall Exhibition Area, Electronic Screen Area, Back-of-Screen Exhibition Area, Top Ten Famous Chickens Exhibition Area. The main function of the Science Hall is to introduce the history of the Chongren Ma Chicken, related cuisine, chicken eggs, awards and honors received by the Chongren Ma Chicken, and basic details about the top ten famous chickens. It helps visitors gain a thorough understanding of Ma chicken culture, playing a significant role in raising the profile of the Ma chicken and promoting its distinctive brand.

Town Reception Center Landmark Tower

The design of the Landmark Tower is inspired by local grain storage drying towers, symbolizing a prosperous agricultural industry. The entire tower is composed of three main elements: the drying tower, blue bricks, and a vertical green wall. With a total height of 30 meters, the landmark tower draws the attention of passersby and serves as a notable landmark in the designed area.
