Chongren County Museum

The Chongren County Museum is located on the east side of Nanfu Park, covering a land area of 1,596 square meters, with a construction area of 3,478.41 square meters and an exhibition area of 1,683 square meters. Construction began in September 2016, was completed by the end of 2018, and officially opened to the public on February 11, 2019. Free admission hours: Tuesday to Sunday, mornings: 8:30–11:30 (last entry at 11:00), afternoons: 14:30–17:00 (last entry at 16:30). Closed all day on Mondays for maintenance and on New Year’s Eve.

The museum currently houses a collection of 1,389 cultural relics, primarily consisting of porcelain, pottery, and coins, along with stone tools, bronzeware, jade artifacts, vouchers, farming implements, and miscellaneous items. Among them, there is one recommended first-grade relic, 25 second-grade relics, and 14 third-grade relics. The museum is divided into five sections: “Dawn of Civilization,” “Development of Civilization,” “Glory of Civilization,” “Power of Civilization,” and “Heritage of Civilization.” It shifts from a past “object-oriented” approach to a “people-oriented” one, using the structure of relics to reflect the local history and culture, allowing the artifacts to play a greater role as “historical evidence.” The relics on display guide visitors to discover the rich nourishment and warmth that this land of Chongren has provided over hundreds of millions of years, to uncover the secrets that nurtured our ancestors, and to trace how cultural genes have been passed down through generations. Additionally, the exhibition hall incorporates various methods such as scene creation, historical reenactments, sculptures, paintings, videos, holograms, interactive participation, modern sound and light effects, and multimedia digital technology. This integration enhances both content and form, creating a rhythm that flows seamlessly. It serves as an ideal second classroom for patriotic education and science popularization among young people, as well as a cozy venue for visitors to learn and relax.
