Nanjiang Keteleeria is a rare and precious tree species unique to China, known for its high-quality timber. It grows in the warm mountainous regions south of the Yangtze River and is a provincially protected rare plant in Jiangxi Province. In the second work area of Zhuxi Forest Farm, around Hulushan at an altitude of 800–1000 meters, there are hundreds of Nanjiang Keteleeria trees mixed with trees of the Fagaceae family. Most of them are over 15 meters tall with a diameter at breast height of more than 40 centimeters, and some even exceed 1 meter. Most of these trees are thriving, lush-leaved, majestic, and beautifully shaped, offering high value for both conservation and ornamental purposes.
