Wild azaleas blanket the mountains in the forest park, dotting the trails, streambanks, and cliff faces. Raising your head unexpectedly, you’ll see the flaming azaleas smiling in the wind. Along shaded paths, clusters of azaleas bloom brilliantly, their flowers and leaves intertwined. As you slowly hike uphill, the vibrant colors and fragrances greet you at every turn, with dazzling bunches of vividly colored azaleas blooming on both sides of the trail—fiery red, pale pink, snow white, soft pink, light yellow, and more. The layers of petals and interwoven branches create a vision akin to rosy clouds. The azaleas here are elegant shades of red, stunning yet not gaudy, like delicate beauties—graceful, serene, tender, and warm. Bursting forth in the spring breeze and rain in a myriad of forms, these azaleas make the forest park in spring even more beautiful, fresh, and vibrant, forming a picturesque scene of “dots of red amid endless green.”
