Xiangshan Zeng

Xiangshan Zeng is located in the picturesque landscapes of Xiangshan Township, Xunwu County, at the southernmost tip of Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. Its natural scenery is divided into two parts: Da Zeng (Big Zeng) and Xiao Zeng (Small Zeng). Its features include:

Height. With an elevation of 1,529.8 meters, it towers into the clouds and lies at the junction of Guangdong, Fujian, and Jiangxi provinces, making it the second highest peak in southern Jiangxi.

Uniqueness. From a geological perspective, it is not a danxia landform but is entirely composed of granite—a unique feature not found elsewhere in Fujian, Guangdong, or Jiangxi.

Danger. The path from Da Zeng to Xiao Zeng involves sheer cliffs, making it a challenging yet rewarding destination for those seeking to test and overcome their limits. Beauty. Standing atop Xiangshan Zeng, you'll be greeted with breathtaking views—the surrounding peaks draped in layers of mist, with greenery faintly visible, villages dotting the hills below, and herds of cattle and sheep (which breathe in ion-rich air, drink mineral water, and graze on fresh green grass every day) roaming leisurely. As evening falls, the rising smoke from village chimneys creates a scene akin to a fairyland.

The beauty of Xiangshan Zeng lies in its unique natural scenery—everything is so pristine, tranquil, serene, and benevolent. As ancient poets once wrote about Xiangshan Zeng: “The emerald peaks of Xiangzeng rise straight to the sky; the setting sun casts slanting rays on the clouds above. The ancient woods stretch boundlessly into the horizon, while birds returning to their nests sweep through the fading mist.”
