The Ancestral Hall of Qixun, the Liu Family in Fengshanli

The Ancestral Hall of Qixun, the Liu Family in Fengshanli is located in Fengshanli, Sicheng Village, Chengguang Town. It was built in the 23rd year of the Daoguang reign during the Qing Dynasty (1843). Facing south and situated on a north-south axis, it spans 45 meters in width and 32 meters in depth. The structure features three bays, a two-courtyard layout with three halls, two wing rooms, two side houses, one courtyard, one gate tower, and is constructed in the post-and-lintel style with a suspended hip roof, featuring “gold-wrapped-silver” tiled roofing. In front of the ancestral hall stand two merit pillars. The main gate is inscribed with the three characters “Yashou Ju” (衙守居), the porch gate is supported by two symmetrical wooden pillars, the central hall is upheld by six symmetrical wooden pillars, and the lower hall is supported by four symmetrical stone pillars. The porch gate’s caisson ceiling is painted with scenes of figures, flowers, insects, and birds, while the brick carvings on the gate tower depict figure stories and floral patterns, all showcasing exquisite craftsmanship.
