Monument to Martyr Gu Bai

The Monument to Martyr Gu Bai is located within the Xunwu County Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall and was unveiled on October 22, 1986. Facing east and situated to the west, it consists of two parts: a statue of Martyr Gu Bai and its base. The martyr’s statue is made of fiberglass-reinforced plastic, depicting Gu Bai in his role as secretary of the General Front Committee of the First Front Red Army during the Central Soviet Area period. The statue stands 4.7 meters tall and weighs 1.8 tons. The base is constructed of granite, with Deng Xiaoping’s handwritten inscription “Monument to Martyr Gu Bai” on the front and a biography of Martyr Gu Bai on the back. Behind the monument is a set of bas-reliefs depicting scenes from the “March 25 Uprising.” In March 1987, the monument was approved by the Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government as a provincial-level key protected martyrs’ memorial structure.
