The former site of the Changling Conference is a cultural relic protection unit of Dayu County.

The former site of the Changling Conference is located at the home of Luo Xuewen, a farmer in Shawan, Changling Village, Hedong Township, Dayu County. In mid-April 1935, Xiang Ying and Chen Yi presided over a plenary meeting of party, government, and military cadres at Luo Xuewen’s residence. Nearly 70 people attended the meeting, which went down in history as the “Changling Conference.” The conference established the guerrilla warfare policy of “relying on the masses, persisting in struggle, accumulating strength, creating conditions, and preparing for a new revolutionary upsurge.” A troop deployment plan was also made to disperse the Red Army guerrilla forces across various districts to carry out operations. The “Changling Conference” marked the turning point when the Red Army guerrilla forces transitioned from conventional warfare to guerrilla tactics, playing a significant role in successfully sustaining the three-year guerrilla war in the Gan-Guangdong border region.

The former site of the Changling Conference is a mountain dwelling built in the mid-to-late Qing Dynasty. It features a civil structure with upper and lower halls and covers an area of approximately 200 square meters. The Dayu County Party Committee and County Government carried out renovations in 1978 and 2007 respectively, ensuring good preservation. On July 7, 2005, the site was included in the Ganzhou City Immovable Cultural Relics Protection List. On July 18, 2011, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Dayu County.
