The Gànxiàn Qīshì Ancestral Hall is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Number One Ancestral Hall of Southern China – Gànxiàn Qīshì Ancestral Hall. During the reign of Emperor Gāo of Hàn (Liu Bāng), the military general Qī Sāi was granted the title of “Marquis of Línyuán” for his meritorious service in guarding the border. Later, during the Míng Dynasty, Qī Jìguāng’s achievements in resisting Japanese pirates further solidified the Qī family’s noble legacy. Hence, the Qīshì Ancestral Hall is known as the “Hereditarily Ennobled Clan.” The existing Qīshì Ancestral Hall in Xiàfǔ Village, Hújiāng Township, Gànxiàn is the Zhuīyuǎn Hall of this “Hereditarily Ennobled Clan.” The entire ancestral hall features an architectural style modeled after the Sòng Dynasty, exuding grandeur and covering an area of approximately 1,400 square meters. It was originally built during the Sòng Dynasty. The Qīshì Ancestral Hall preserves many inscriptions and couplets by notable figures, such as Zhu Xi’s inscription of the four characters “Loyalty, Filial Piety, Integrity, and Chastity,” as well as calligraphic works by Sun Zhōngshān and Cài Yuánpéi. Hújiāng Township not only houses the remarkably well-preserved Qīshì Ancestral Hall but also the exquisitely constructed Xìeshì Ancestral Hall. Both ancestral halls are collectively renowned as the “Number One Ancestral Hall of Southern China.”

Hújiāng Township boasts a wealth of tourist attractions, including the Big and Small Húzhōu islets, the Huángquán Lù (Yellow Spring Road) scenic area featuring Huílóng Pavilion, the National Construction Middle School and munitions factory founded by Jiǎng Jièguó, century-old tropical trees, and the picturesque reservoir bays. It is truly a rare and excellent destination for leisure and travel.
