Scenic Area Introduction:

It consists of two centers—the Daping and Huangpodi Comprehensive Service & Reception Centers—and 13 scenic zones: Baolianshan West Lake Scenic Zone, Meizi River Rafting Scenic Zone, Baxian Valley Waterfall Scenic Zone, Guanyin Valley Waterfall Scenic Zone, Xiaoqianshan Scenic Zone, Daqianshan Scenic Zone, Health & Leisure Resort Scenic Zone, Wild Man Cave Scenic Zone, Wolongshan Scenic Zone, Mountain Sports & Leisure Scenic Zone, Agricultural Sightseeing & Leisure Scenic Zone, and Baolianshan Cloudland Scenic Zone. The scenic area features overlapping peaks and undulating hills, with picturesque landscapes. It boasts numerous magical natural attractions such as the Wild Man Cave, Immortal Rock, Waterfall Groups, Muyu Mountain, Wolongshan, and Maitreya Peak, and is honored as the "Little Lushan of Southern Jiangxi" and a "Natural Oxygen Bar." The area is rich in tourism resources, including Shuijindong, the highest mountain peak in Ganzhou; the magically formed cave groups such as the Wild Man Cave and Immortal Cave; cascading waterfalls; the Twin Buddha Sacred Mountains; sea of clouds at sunrise; as well as vast forests and herds of wildlife.

Scenic Area Climate

The average altitude of the mountains in the scenic area exceeds 680 meters, with the eastern and western peaks reaching up to 1,185 meters. The annual average rainfall exceeds 1,700 millimeters, and the annual average temperature is below 17°C. The forest coverage rate across the entire area reaches 71%. The scenic area features beautiful mountains and clear waters, along with a pleasant climate—especially cool and spring-like in midsummer. Visiting here is like stepping into a giant oxygen bar, where the cool climate brings comfort and joy, making it an ideal destination for summer retreats, health preservation, longevity, and spiritual rejuvenation. The development of Baolianshan can form an ecological tourism axis together with Ganzhou’s Fengshan Forest Park and Anyuan County’s Sanbaisan Forest Park, with Baolianshan situated at the central point of this axis.

Scenic Area Prospects:

Over the next three to five years, Ganzhou Prefecture aims to develop the Baolianshan Scenic Area into the "No. 1 Buddhist Culture Mountain in China" and a premier eco-leisure resort destination in southern China. It will integrate stunning green mountains and clear waters, mysterious wild man caves, serene valley waterfalls, idyllic pastoral scenery, and the spiritually uplifting Buddhist sacred sites.
