Xiantang New Village

Jiangkou Xiantang New Village is located in the central part of Jiangkou Town, Gan County. It got its name from the saying “if it’s dry for three days, the land cracks; if it rains for three days, it turns into ponds.” Since 2009, the Ministry of Land and Resources has invested a total of 3 million yuan in new rural construction funds and 10.8 million yuan in land consolidation project funds over two years, steadily advancing the development of the new countryside. The Party and government of Jiangkou Town have adhered to the work approach of “planning guidance, overall advancement, highlighting the main body, and showcasing characteristics,” focusing on building an “ecological, cultural, industrial, networked, and technological” new village. They emphasize community service management, renovation of old houses, and promotion of new housing models. The village is nestled against mountains and near water, surrounded by green trees. Local cultural resources have been fully tapped to build traditional culture education landscapes, realizing the scene of “elm and willow trees shading the back eaves, peach and plum trees lining the front courtyard”—a truly enchanting pastoral view.

In various key areas, tourism and educational landscapes such as the Camphor Garden, Yizhu Courtyard, Loyalty and Filial Piety Pavilion, Knowledge-Seeking Garden, and Gratitude Pavilion have been established. Each household’s gate is inscribed with a couplet praising the new countryside and celebrating the new life, reflecting the essence of Hakka traditional culture and the spirit of the new generation of farmers, which has also earned recognition from the tourism authorities.

Wuyun Town: Wuyun Town is located in the northwest of Gan County, 15 kilometers from downtown Ganzhou City and 25 kilometers from the county seat of Gan County. The town borders the Gan River to the east, Shuixi Town of Zhanggong District to the south, Nankang City to the west, and Shadi Town to the north. National Highway 105 runs through the town for 15 kilometers.

The town governs a total of 12 villages and 173 villager groups, with a total population of 22,232, including 21,135 agricultural residents. The town’s renowned and specialty products include pollution-free vegetables, seedless watermelons, tea oil, edible fungi, cured duck, grilled beef, fruit farming, and tobacco leaves.
