Tianzhu Mountain Martyrs' Cemetery

Tianzhu Mountain is located on the west bank of the Gong River, outside the Dongmen Gate of Ganzhou City. During the Anti-Japanese War, it once served as the site of the "Gan County Air Defense Command." In 1953, the then Gan County People's Government built the "Revolutionary Martyrs Memorial Hall" in Tianzhu Park, established the "Martyrs' Tomb" in 1956, and officially named it the "Tianzhu Mountain Martyrs' Cemetery" in 1962. In 1987, the Ganzhou Municipal People's Government listed the Tianzhu Mountain Revolutionary Martyrs' Tomb as a key protected unit of martyrs' memorial buildings. Around Qingming Festival each year, various government agencies, organizations, groups, and schools come here to lay wreaths and pay tribute to the martyrs.
