Hui Lie Ancestral Hall
Hui Lie Ancestral Hall is located in the northwest corner of the ancient Bai Lu Village, Bai Lu Group 2, Bai Lu Township, Gan County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, approximately 63 kilometers northeast of the county seat. It is a connected complex consisting of three sections: the front (Bao Zhong Tang), middle (Chong Zhuan Tang), and rear (Chong Guan Tang). The hall is named after the plaque inscribed with “Hui Lie Ancestral Hall” that once adorned the dragon-phoenix panel above the gate of the front section.
In 2003, it was designated as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit. In 2006, it was listed as a provincial-level protected site. Around 2006–2007, the owner funded partial renovations using private resources.

Chong Zhuan Tang: A Qing Dynasty Qianlong-era structure, connected to Bao Zhong Tang, built with brick and wood. It measures 22 meters in width and 17.5 meters in depth, covering an area of 385 square meters. It features a post-and-lintel construction style and a flush-gable roof. The main gate is located on the northeast side, with eight bays across two courtyards and five wells, along with a suite of rooms extending southwest and connecting to one well at the front and rear. The layout follows a concave corridor design. It includes a gatehouse, caisson ceiling, rolled awning paintings, and wooden carved spandrels for decoration. Near the front courtyard wall, there is a long rectangular flower bed planted with two podocarpus trees from the same period. This building exhibits a distinct garden-style architectural character and holds certain preservation value.
Bao Zhong Tang: A Qing Dynasty Qianlong-era structure, oriented northwest to southeast, built with brick and wood. It measures 22 meters in width and 31.5 meters in depth, covering an area of 693 square meters. It also features a post-and-lintel construction and a flush-gable roof, with tiled flooring. There is a front courtyard, walls, gate steps, and courtyard steps. The structure consists of seven bays across two courtyards and two wells, with the southern front wing connected to a three-bay section to the southwest featuring two wells and front and rear wings. The main gate is topped with a memorial archway-style three-bay, two-pillar, three-story gate tower adorned with grey-carved floral patterns. A pair of drum stones flank the gate. Near the front courtyard wall stand twelve achievement pillars in six pairs. The second courtyard has a double-eaved flush-gable roof, and a screen wall with grey-carved geometric patterns is placed on the southwestern side of the front courtyard. There are protective railings, caisson ceilings, rolled awnings, and painted designs of flowers, birds, and figures.
Bai Lu Village: Bai Lu Village is situated in the northern part of Bai Lu Township, Gan County, Jiangxi Province, approximately 63 kilometers from Ganzhou City. Settlement in Bai Lu dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties, and the village has flourished ever since. Currently, the village has nearly 600 households and a population of 2,500. Shaped like a crescent moon, the village covers an area of 0.2 square kilometers. Among its 60,000 square meters of historic architecture, there are over 140 well-preserved Hakka residences that are more than 100 years old. The traditional ink-gray brick and black tile complexes were mostly built during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
