Shuzhen Hall

Shuzhen Hall is located in Group 2, Bailu Village, Bailu Township, Ganxian District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, 63 kilometers northeast of the county seat. It faces south and is built with a brick-and-wood structure, featuring a flush gable roof and a post-and-lintel framework. The hall spans seven bays in width, has a two-courtyard, three-hall layout, measures 20.34 meters in width and 27.73 meters in depth, and covers a construction area of 564 square meters. The floor is paved with blue bricks. In front of the main gate stands a gate tower with four pillars, three bays, and three stories, topped with a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof. It is adorned with carvings depicting figures, stories, flowers, birds, insects, and plants. The beams and brackets of the ancestral hall are painted with patterns of figures, flowers, auspicious beasts, and lucky birds, all rendered in a unique style that holds certain research value for the study of local ancestral halls.

Bailu Village: Bailu Village is situated in the northern part of Bailu Township, Ganxian District, Jiangxi Province, 63 kilometers from Ganzhou City. The village dates back to the Shang and Zhou dynasties when it first formed as a residential settlement, and it has flourished ever since. Currently, Bailu Village is home to nearly 600 households and 2,500 residents. The village is shaped like a crescent moon, covering an area of 0.2 square kilometers. Among its 60,000 square meters of historic architecture, there are over 140 well-preserved Hakka residences that are more than 100 years old. The traditional architectural complex, characterized by its classic gray bricks and black tiles, was mostly built during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
