Dingfutang

Dingfutang is located in Group 4, Bailu Village, Bailu Township, Ganxian District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, 63 kilometers northeast of the county seat. It faces south and is built with a brick-and-wood structure, featuring a flush-gable roof, a three-bay width, a post-and-lintel frame, a single-entry two-hall layout, and a two-story design. The upper floor has a corridor. It spans 17.6 meters in width and 20.65 meters in depth, covering a construction area of 363 square meters. The floor is paved with clay. It is a sacrificial-style ancestral hall, built during the Qing Dynasty's Qìngxǐ era, and is a typical example of Huizhou-style architecture. The main hall mainly uses vertical wooden pillars for load-bearing, with plinths placed between the wooden pillars and the ground to prevent moisture. The interior features wooden panels, partition doors, and wooden windows that can be opened and closed freely. The gate tower is constructed with “lime mortar,” which is highly durable. Carvings on the gate tower still display some Western items from that period, giving it certain preservation value.

Bailu Village: Bailu Village is situated in the northern part of Bailu Township, Ganxian District, Jiangxi Province, 63 kilometers from Ganzhou City. Bailu had already formed a residential settlement as early as the Shang and Zhou dynasties and flourished thereafter. The village currently has nearly 600 households and a population of 2,500. It is shaped like a crescent moon, covering an area of 0.2 square kilometers. Among its 60,000 square meters of ancient buildings, there are over 140 Hakka residences that are more than 100 years old. The quaint architectural complex, with its gray bricks and black tiles, was mostly built during the Ming and Qing dynasties.
