Gonggu Stone

Located in the mid-western mountainous area of the main peak, Gonggu Stone is a highly unique geomorphological landscape, consisting of the "Drum Stone" and the "Gong Stone," which are over 30 meters apart.

The exposed surface of the "Drum Stone" is about 30 meters long and 15 meters wide, flat as a drumhead. When visitors stomp on it, the stone emits a "dong dong" sound, hence the name "Drum Stone." The "Gong Stone" is a rugged rock protruding from the ground on the downslope of the "Drum Stone," tall like a standing elephant. When gently shaken, it produces a "weng weng weng" sound similar to that of striking a gong, hence the name "Gong Stone." Below the two stones lies a village named "Tongluogu." According to the *Ganzhou Place Names Gazetteer*: "This place has been historically known as 'Tongluogu Village' because beside the village there are two large rocks shaped like a gong and a drum. When struck, they produce sounds resembling those of a gong and drum, hence the village is named 'Tongluo Village.'"
