Central Ecological Park

The park is located in the central section of the Central Golden Ridge in Zhangjiang New District, at the heart of Ganzhou’s downtown area, on the south side of the planned Dengfeng Avenue. It serves as the “green core” within the “commercial center” of the new district’s “three cores.” The construction of this urban central park aims to accelerate the development of Zhangjiang New District into a livable, ecological, and uniquely Ganzhou-style new urban area.

The park combines leisure, landscape, ecology, flood storage, and drainage functions, covering a total area of 1,002 mu. Among this, the central lake area is enclosed by Zhangjiang Road, the middle section of Dengfeng Avenue, Xinganzhou Avenue, and Gan Kang Road, spanning 626 mu; the ecological waterfront greenbelt stretches from the central lake area to the southeast, starting from the west, crossing the planned Development Avenue, and extending near the Golden Island of the Zhang River, covering an area of 323 mu. The total direct investment in the project construction is approximately 130 million yuan.

The park’s planning structure consists of one core and three sections. One core: the central lake area, which includes five functional zones (the Plaza Entertainment Activity Zone, the Stream & Forest Exploration & Leisure Zone, the Ecological Sports & Leisure Zone, the Wetland Scenery Sightseeing Zone, and the Central Lake Area), serving as the new district’s “green lung” and landscape centerpiece. Three sections: based on the form of the water system and the planned road network, they are divided into three thematically distinct areas – the Ecological Canal Landscape, the Featured Stream Tourist Activity, and the Ecological Beach & Forest Leisure Zone.
